💡 Absorption: Take on an empty stomach or 30 minutes before eating. Look for specific evidence-based strains (Lactobacillus, Bifidobacterium). Refrigerate if the product indicates.
⚠️ Caution: Generally very safe. Immunocompromised individuals should consult a doctor. May cause temporary gas initially. In those under 18, use only under medical/pediatric supervision.

⚕️ Medication interactions
In immunocompromised patients, live probiotics can cause opportunistic infections such as bacteremia or fungemia.
→ Consultar con el médico tratante. En inmunosupresión severa, evitar probióticos con cepas vivas.
🏥 Contraindications
En pancreatitis aguda grave, los probióticos pueden aumentar el riesgo de isquemia intestinal y mortalidad (estudio PROPATRIA).
→ No administrar probióticos en pancreatitis aguda. Solo considerar tras recuperación completa y con autorización del gastroenterólogo.
